VideoMost online video conferencing service is a convenient method for organizing multi-user Internet video conferences on standard PCs.
To participate in a video conference, a browser plugin is used for PCs.
What you will need
To participate in a video conference, you will need:
- Computer with Windows XP (SP3) / Vista (SP2) / 7 (SP1) / 8 or Mac OS X.
- Internet connection
- Web camera, microphone, and headphones or speakers of any type.
- Internet Explorer 8 or better, Firefox browser 3.6 or better, Chrome, Safari 5.0 or better or Opera (Windows).
- VideoMost video conferencing software.
For optimum conferencing quality, a powerful PC and broadband Internet connection are recommended.
System requirements
For optimum video conferencing quality, the user workstation must comply with the following software/hardware requirements. If these requirements are not met, voice and video quality can suffer or connection errors can occur (in case of no network access to vmost.rea.ru).
Windows-based PCs
- CPU: Intel Core2Duo 2.0 GHz or better
- Full-duplex PCI or PCI Express audio card Additional functionality of the audio card and microphone (noise suppression, echo cancellation, 3d effects, etc) must be disabled
- Headset, or microphone and speakers
- Video camera capable of at least 640x480 video resolution and 30 Hz frame rate (the brightness boosting function must be disabled).
- Power user permissions (for installing video conferencing software)
- Internet connection: at least 500 Kbps outgoing, 500-2500 Kbps incoming
Mac OS X
- Apple PC with Intel Core2Duo 2.0 GHz or better CPU
- Full-duplex audio card
- Headset, or microphone and speakers
- Integrated iSight camera, or peripheral web camera capable of at least 640x480 video resolution and 30 Hz frame rate (the brightness boosting function must be disabled)
- Mac OS X 10.5.6 Administrator permissions (for installing video conferencing software)
- Internet connection: at least 500 Kbps outgoing, 500-2500 Kbps incoming
It is not recommended to run video conferences together with other resource-critical applications, such as antiviruses, disk defragmentators, software auto updaters, torrent clients, third-party voice/video Internet phones, etc.
Web cameras
All modern web cameras are supported.
For optimum video quality, it is recommended to use Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000, QuickCam Pro for Notebooks, QuickCam Sphere web cameras.
